As a rear-wheel drive model with a 6-speed manual gearbox and dual superchargers, the Koenigsegg CCX is undeniably from a bygone era. Yet it remains a stunning example of hypercar performance and style.
Koenigsegg produced 29 units of the original CCX, then continued forward with no less than six variants. The Koenigsegg CCXR incorporated more eco-friendly technology to use ethanol fuel, while the CCX Edition reduced weight for ultimate track performance.

Trying to follow in the footsteps of the first production Koenigsegg car, the CC8S, is quite the challenge. Yet the Swedish carmaker delivered in full by enhancing aerodynamics with a new front diffuser, reengineering the suspension and brakes, and adding a second Rotrex supercharger to get over 800 horsepower out of a V-8 engine.

After unveiling the Koenigsegg CC prototype in 1996, another six years of research and development went into the first production mode, the Koenigsegg CC8S.
