Italian retailer One Block Down has revealed its full Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble Lux collaboration with Nike, a four-sneaker set built on full premium leather uppers. The colorways draw from the retailer's Italian roots, with a black pair joined by green, white and red styles.
The release plan
Nike previewed the black pair in October. Now the finished group has surfaced with confirmed release details. The black sneaker, style code IM704-001, drops Friday with its apparel range, first from One Block Down's Milan store and then worldwide through oneblockdown.com.
Every pair retails for 200 euros, with the apparel capsule arriving with the black pair. The green, red and white colorways carry style codes IM0704-300, IM0704-600 and IM0704-002 respectively, and all three will be sold exclusively in store from the Milan location. They will not reach the retailer's web shop.
A wider global run of the black style follows on Nov. 19 through Nike's Snkrs app and select retailers. That split mirrors how One Block Down tends to work these drops: a local, in-store priority window first, then a global release for the most broadly wearable colorway.
The Lux lineage
The set was inspired by the original Air Max 95 Lux from 2001, a premium Italian-made iteration released alongside other Lux models including the Air Force 1 and Air Trainer SC High. Supreme revisited the theme in 2019 with a three-sneaker set in black, blue and red.
There is one distinction the retailer has been careful to flag. Earlier Air Max 95 Lux editions carried made-in-Italy production. On this collaboration the leather is prepared and finished in Italy, but the sneakers themselves are assembled in Vietnam. It is a provenance detail collectors will note.
The three colored pairs get digitally printed tonal gradient fades, applied in a way that produces subtle variances from one pair to the next, so no two match exactly. The black style takes the opposite route, a fully blacked-out upper with no gradient treatment at all.
The apparel capsule
Beyond the shoes, One Block Down designed a soccer-inspired apparel capsule: a technical jacket, woven trousers, a training T-shirt and skull caps. The apparel launches alongside the black pair on Friday, and it rides the same Italian sporting references as the footwear itself.
One Block Down has built its name as one of Milan's sharper specialty retailers, a shop that treats sneaker and streetwear drops with the care a boutique gives to tailoring. Its collaborations with Nike have reliably leaned premium, and this Lux set continues that pattern deliberately.
The Air Max 95 is among Nike's most enduring runners, first released in 1995 and built around visible Air in the forefoot and heel. The Big Bubble update revives the oversized unit the original briefly carried. We have tracked the model for years on our style pages.
When we looked at how people actually style the Air Max 95, the recurring answer was its pocket of visible Air and the layered upper that lets it hold its own in relaxed fits. A full-leather Lux version moves that same silhouette toward something closer to a dress sneaker.
The Italian manufacturing question is the one wrinkle in an otherwise clean story. A 2001 Lux made in Italy carried an implicit craft claim. This edition splits the labor, keeping the hide tanned and finished in Italy while assembly moves to Vietnam, at a €200 price point.
At that price the set is deliberately against the everyday market. It is not a running shoe dressed up; it is a leather version of a classic sold through a specialty retailer, aimed at buyers who want the Big Bubble shape without the customary mesh and synthetic build.
SKIMS recently gave a 52-year-old Nike runner a worn-in Waffle Racer treatment, and the brand keeps feeding its retro catalog. This Lux set is the premium end of that same push back through the archive.
Nike's broader sneaker program has stayed full through the year, from Air Force 1 colorways built for patience to Travis Scott collaborations we have covered at length. The Air Max 95 Lux fits that schedule as a quieter, retailer-led addition rather than a marquee drop.
For anyone weighing the four pairs, the black is the only one you can buy without a trip to Milan. The green, red and white options are in-store exclusives at One Block Down's Milan flagship, which will concentrate supply and give the collection its local anchor.
The black pair arrives first on Friday through the Milan store and the online shop, then globally on Nov. 19. The three colored colorways are available Friday in store only.
