Loewe x On has released a new collection built around two new footwear models and a suite of ready-to-wear pieces. The drop, now more than four years into the partnership, is led by the Cloudtilt Cosmic and the Cloudsolo Hiker. This time the campaign stars working artists.

The imagery features fine artists including sound sculpturist Tarek Atoui, multimedia artist Martine Syms, and performer and video artist Joan Jonas. The campaign video shows them in various states of their practice, including Jonas tracing rocks with pastilles. It is a deliberate move from concept into practice.

Loewe is Spain's oldest luxury house, founded in 1846, and the one with the strongest claim to being a leather brand first. On is the Swiss running brand whose CloudTec sole technology is at the center of this collaboration. What the two share is a belief in clothes that work.

The Cloudtilt Cosmic updates and streamlines the original Cloudtilt, an ultralight cushioned running sneaker. The CloudTec Phase sole technology arrives with fewer perforations and more colorways. One of those is a purple shade the label has leaned into for fall 2026.

The Cloudsolo Hiker is a hybrid. It keeps the body of the Cloudsolo sneaker but adds corded laces and custom hook detailing in the style of a tactical boot, turning it into what amounts to a diet-hiking boot. The orange-on-orange colorway pushes the fashion angle further.

A khaki version with mint lacing carries the look that close. Its metal eyelet hooks and deliberately dirty multicolor laces call to mind the Prada hiking booties, and it points toward a styling trick likely to trickle into DIY outfits as autumn progresses.

The ready-to-wear continues to pair Loewe's quirks with On's moisture-wicking fabrics, in the limited colorways the collaboration has always used. Classics like the Train 2-in-1 shorts return, and this season a high-definition landscape print joins the range.

That landscape print shows up on the 2-in-1 shorts and on pieces like the logo longsleeve tee and a printed puffer. There are also street-forward pieces aimed at the camera, including a bright bomber jacket and a coordinating double-pleated ripstop pant.

Syms appears in the campaign video in the orange colorway of balloon-like separates, matched to the all-orange Cloudtilts. The styling makes the point directly: the pieces are meant to be worn in the studio and on the street, whichever direction the day runs.

The whole collection is designed to move between performance-wear-as-streetwear and streetwear-as-performance-wear. That has been the shape of the Loewe x On idea since it began, and this season the partners have stated it more plainly than before by hiring the artists themselves.

Four years and some change into the partnership, this drop reads as its next step. Earlier collections introduced the pairing of Loewe's design language with On's performance fabrics. This one extends the collaboration's reach into the art arena, a sharper and more specific territory.

Our own coverage of Loewe has long treated it as a quiet luxury house with real resale strength. In our guide to the best Loewe bags we found the Puzzle, the Flamenco and the Amazona hold value unusually well, reselling strongly on platforms like Fashionphile and The RealReal.

The Puzzle is the design that put modern Loewe on the map, Jonathan Anderson's first bag for the house from 2014, cut from flat geometric panels that fold into a soft cuboid. The same taste for odd geometry runs through the balloon separates in this collection.

Pricing on newer Loewe pieces gives some sense of where this is. The Flamenco mini clutch, one of the house's oldest icons, runs around $2,600, while the compact calfskin Cubi crossbody opens at $1,990. The collaboration's ready-to-wear lands in a similar register.

Loewe and On have not yet published prices for the Cloudtilt Cosmic or the Cloudsolo Hiker, nor a full list of where the collection will be sold. What is clear from the campaign is intent: the partners want the clothes to read as tools, not merch.

The move is also a bet on a demographic shift. Casting artists to self-represent, rather than styling models in art-adjacent clothes, treats creative work as a performance in its own right.

What comes next

The collection is available now through the usual Loewe x On channels, and the two footwear models are the newest piece of On technology to receive the Loewe treatment. Whether the hiking-sneaker hybrid reaches a broader release has not been confirmed.
