Instant Skateboards is releasing a second Nike SB Air Force 1 for the 2026 City Pack, this time in Black/Royal and without its logo stamps. The pair is aimed at Tokyo, and the first version already landed there on October 9 as a limited edition.
That opening drop came in black suede with royal blue Swooshes and special Instant branding. It essentially treated the SB Force like the Air Jordan 1 Royal, specifically the suede Reimagined versions of the Jordan. Those pairs came and went, of course.
The follow-up keeps the classic color scheme but drops every Instant stamp. What keeps it from feeling like a restock is the packaging around it: collaborative polo shirts, Instant lace dubrae and secret stickers.
Instant Skateboards' Nike SB Air Force 1 will drop exclusively overseas on October 31. That is good news for skaters across the water and bad news for stateside skaters, who get no direct shot at this particular pair.
Technically, Tokyo has already been blessed with one Instant Air Force 1, so this is a second helping for the same city. The 2026 City Pack hands the silhouette to a different collaborator in each place, one partner at a time.
The Air Force 1 is the silhouette our guide to the best white sneakers for men names alongside Adidas' Stan Smith as an everyday leather default. A skate-engineered suede version in black and blue reads as a remix of that familiar shape.
Nike SB is Nike's skateboarding line, and the City Pack applies its collaborator model to the Force. Instant's first pair sold out of its limited run, so the logo-free second version is the one a wider audience can still chase.
What makes the second pair different
The second colorway keeps the black suede and royal blue Swooshes of the first, but the shoe itself carries no Instant mark. The collaboration is therefore carried by the color scheme alone, with the cues borrowed from the Jordan.
The extras do the branding work instead. The polo shirts carry the collaboration into apparel, the lace dubrae put the name on the laces themselves, and the secret stickers make opening the box part of the drop.
No US release has been named for this pair. The source says only that other City Pack Air Force 1 sneakers are coming, so stateside buyers have those to wait for rather than this one.
The rest of the City Pack
Instant is not carrying the City Pack alone. Philadelphia's Nocturnal will drop its pair soon, alongside Fly Streetwear and Ben-G, which makes the Air Force 1 a rotating series rather than a one-off.
That structure gives each partner a city and a colorway, and each release feeds the next. The Tokyo pairs sell the idea, and the Philadelphia pair is the next one to extend it.
Limited partner drops that turn a familiar model into a recurring event are a pattern we saw in our roundup of the best Travis Scott collaborations, which includes his Nike SB Dunk releases.
Nike's Air Force 1 also appears among the everyday leather picks in our coverage of style. The Black/Royal pair is the skate-oriented side of a model that most people know in plain white leather.
What a buyer gets overseas is a clean two-tone skate shoe, with the collaboration carried by accessories instead of logos. Whether Nocturnal, Fly Streetwear and Ben-G follow that minimalist cue is the next thing the City Pack will answer.
