Brellum has released a new Pandial Power Reserve Chronometer, a 43mm stainless-steel chronograph limited to 33 pieces. The reference keeps the all-black dial first seen on last year's black DLC titanium edition, but now comes in a 316L steel case on a five-link steel bracelet.

The price is CHF 3,390 including taxes in Switzerland, or CHF 3,135 for export buyers. Brellum sells the watch directly and exclusively through its own channels, with no retailers between the customer and founder Sébastien Müller, a fourth-generation Swiss watchmaker.

Case, crystals and dimensions

The case measures 43mm across and 11.7mm thick without crystals, 15.9mm overall, and is water-resistant to 100 meters. Polished and satin-finished surfaces alternate across the case, while the tachymeter bezel carries a black DLC treatment that ties it to the darker titanium sibling.

Box-shaped sapphire crystals cover both sides, with anti-reflective treatment and anti-UV protection on the dial side. The back opens onto the movement. Last year's original Pandial Power Reserve used a contrasting panda configuration; the titanium version that followed was a stealthier, full-black design.

The lug-to-lug span is 51.5mm, which makes the watch long as well as thick. The lugs curve down toward the wrist, and sharp chamfers slim the profile, which helps a large watch wear smaller than its dimensions suggest.

The bracelet is a five-row stainless-steel design with polished and satin-finished links, secured by a deployment clasp. Its alternating finishes echo the case, so the watch reads as one object rather than a case with a strap attached.

The movement inside

Inside runs the caliber BR-750RM, Brellum's COSC-certified automatic chronometer built on the Valjoux 7750. It beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and stores 46 hours of power. The movement carries perlage, Geneva stripes, blued screws and a gold-coated, individually numbered rotor.

Every Brellum watch is certified as a chronometer by COSC, Switzerland's official testing institute, and ships with an individual certificate. Production is capped at 299 pieces a year across the whole brand, so the 33-piece limit on this model is part of a wider ceiling.

A trained watchmaker can service a Valjoux 7750 anywhere, and Brellum leans on that practicality. Müller runs a deliberately small operation: direct sales worldwide, free shipping, no ambassadors, no billboards. The production ceiling does the talking for its exclusivity.

A busy dial kept legible

The dial is busy but structured. Running seconds are at nine o'clock, the 30-minute chronograph counter at 12, and the 12-hour totaliser at six with an integrated date window. A power-reserve indicator is at three o'clock, and a telemeter scale is printed around the rehaut.

Diamond-cut, polished indices and hands are filled with Super-LumiNova. Red accents land on the tip of the central chronograph seconds hand and on the power-reserve subdial, enough to lift the dark scheme without disturbing it. The black sub-counters add depth against the flat ground.

A small corrector button at ten o'clock adjusts the date, a detail that draws questions from buyers of the previous edition. Brellum's Pandial line is its sportier series, defined by the tachymeter bezel, telemeter scale and date.

The brand builds only mechanical watches with decorated movements visible through exhibition casebacks. Where the panda original paired a white dial with black sub-registers and the titanium model went dark all over, the steel version pairs the black dial with brighter metal surfaces.

That gap between exclusivity and price is the quiet point of the brand. A buyer gets one of 33 watches and a COSC certificate without paying for retail markup or celebrity endorsement, and the founder handles customer questions and import paperwork by email.

The watch is available now and only from Brellum itself, at brellum.swiss. There are no retailer allocations. The brand has published no end date for the run, but with 33 examples to sell directly, allocation is the practical constraint.
