There aren’t many sneakers out there with the same level of fan adoration as Kanye West sneakers: Yeezys. Originally released to the world back in 2009, Yeezy sneakers have progressed into a whirlwind of sizes, shapes, colors, and designs, with both Nike and Adidas curation along the way.
Much like ‘Ye himself, Yeezy types span from the cool to the crazy. Kanye West shoes tend to come with at least a little sprinkling of personality from the man himself, which means outrageous colorways, futuristic designs, and some downright unusual elements.
There’s the classic 350s, which you’ll see on the feet of fans all around the world. And then there are the more out-there options, the Yeezy trainers in neon tones and seriously chunky styles.
Spotted a pair of 350 V2s on the subway this morning? Adidas sold its last new pair at the end of 2024, so whoever is wearing them bought them from somebody else.
And that’s not forgetting the other side of Yeezy sneakers: the thousands of dollars paid for resale. Ever thought about spending almost two million dollars on a pair of sneakers? One person did.
Read on for the best of the best when it comes to all Yeezy models.
What happened to Yeezy?
Adidas ended its Yeezy partnership in October 2022. It then sold off the stock it still held through 2023 and 2024, and the last of it went in the fourth quarter of 2024. In March 2025, the company’s chief financial officer said there was “not one Yeezy shoe left.” None of the sixteen models below is made or sold new by Adidas today. If you want a pair, it comes from resale or from leftover retailer stock, and every shop link on this page goes to the Yeezy section of a resale marketplace. Ye’s own YEEZY label now runs independently of Adidas and sells different shoes. We cover it further down. The Nike years ended earlier: the last Nike Yeezy on this list came out in 2014, and a year later the Adidas era began.
How we chose: we ranked on design and on what each model changed in the line. Every price is the original US retail price at launch. Resale prices move daily, so we quote none. Nobody on our team wore these pairs for this piece, so this is a buying guide.

If you already know your model and just want to know what to pay and which size to order, skip to our buying guide after the list.
1. Adidas Yeezy 350 V2: Our first pick, and the pair you keep spotting
The Adidas Yeezy 350 V2 is the Yeezy we would buy first. It arrived on September 24, 2016, in a colorway called Beluga, fifteen months after the original Boost 350, and it cost $220. That was $20 more than the shoe it replaced, and $80 less than the 700 that followed a year later.
What makes it our pick is how little it asks of you. It keeps the low, clean profile of the first 350, and it looks as easy under a pair of dark jeans as it does under track pants on a Sunday. It is also a Yeezy people recognize on sight. Whether that counts for it or against it depends on how much you like being noticed.
The drawback is the one this whole list shares. You will pay a stranger’s price, not $220, on the Yeezy pages of a resale marketplace, and the checks on condition and authenticity fall to you. Yeezy sneakers also tend to run small, so order half a size up before you trust your usual number.
Best for: Your first Yeezy, and a pair you will actually wear.
| Released | September 24, 2016 |
|---|---|
| Original price | $220 |
| Colors | Beluga, Ash Pearl, Cinder |
2. Adidas Yeezy 700: The chunky runner that was never the bargain
If you remember the Adidas Yeezy 700 as the affordable Yeezy, check the receipt. Its first colorway, the Wave Runner, went on sale on August 12, 2017, at $300. The 350 V2 had cost $220 the year before.
The extra $80 bought you a different idea of a sneaker. Where the 350 is slim and quiet, the 700 is layered and bulky, a chunky runner that looks built for a much older kind of jog. It opened a family, too. The 700 V3 and the 700 MNVN, both further down this list, grew out of it. (The Wave Runner is the 700’s first colorway rather than a separate shoe, so it lives in this entry.)
It is not a shoe for every outfit, and that is its drawback. The bulk takes some getting used to on foot. It looks at its best with relaxed trousers and a plain top, and you can compare 700 colorways on a resale marketplace.
Best for: Anyone who wants the Yeezy that started the chunky side of the line.
| Released | August 12, 2017 |
|---|---|
| Original price | $300 |
| Colors | Wave Runner, Mauve, Sun |
3. Adidas Yeezy Slide: The Yeezy for the school run
The Adidas Yeezy Slide is the Yeezy you wear when you cannot be bothered with laces. It debuted on December 6, 2019, at $55, in Desert Sand, Resin and Bone. It is molded from injected EVA foam, with nothing to lace and nothing to break in, just one chunky piece you step into on the way to the door.
The colorways are what people come back for: Glow Green if you want to be seen, Onyx or Bone if you do not. You’ll find them all in the Yeezy section of a resale marketplace, and our guide to the best slides for men puts the Slide beside the rest of the field. The drawback is sizing. Yeezy slides run small, and by more than the sneakers do, so buy at least a full size up.
Best for: Errands, pool days and the walk to the car.
| Released | December 6, 2019 |
|---|---|
| Original price | $55 |
| Colors | Glow Green, Onyx, Bone |
4. Adidas Yeezy Foam Runner: The $75 experiment
The Adidas Yeezy Foam Runner cost $75 when it launched on June 26, 2020, less than a third of what the 700 had cost three years earlier. It is less a sneaker than a sculpture you can slip on, made from a blend of harvested algae and EVA foam. It was also the first Adidas Yeezy made in the United States.
It splits a room, and that is its drawback. Some people see the future of footwear, others see a garden clog. If you are in the first camp, our Yeezy Foam Runner styling guide shows how to wear it without looking like you are headed for the greenhouse, and the Foam Runners on a resale marketplace are a click away.
Best for: A statement shoe that costs less than a statement.
| Released | June 26, 2020 |
|---|---|
| Original price | $75 |
| Colors | Ararat, Sand, Mineral Blue |
5. Adidas Yeezy Boost 350: Where the Adidas line found its shape
The Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 came out on June 27, 2015, at $200, four months after the 750 Boost, in a colorway called Turtle Dove. Pirate Black, Moonrock and Oxford Tan followed. It set the low-top shape that the 350 V2 would refine a year later, and if you want the original rather than the sequel, this is it.
The drawback is age. Every pair on sale now has sat in someone’s closet or a warehouse since Adidas stopped making it, so ask about wear and storage before you buy from the Yeezy listings of a resale marketplace. That is also why the V2 ranks four places higher.
Best for: The collector who wants the very first 350.
| Released | June 27, 2015 |
|---|---|
| Original price | $200 |
| Colors | Turtle Dove, Pirate Black, Moonrock, Oxford Tan |
6. Adidas Yeezy Boost 380: The 350’s restless sibling
The Adidas Yeezy Boost 380 debuted in November 2019 in a colorway called Alien, at $230. It opened a busy few weeks for the line: the Slide arrived on December 6, the 500 High later that month, and the 700 V3 on December 23. Four new designs landed in about six weeks.
The name suggests a step on from the 350, and it suits someone who already has one. The drawback is that it is harder to place. It lacks the 350’s easy recognition and the 700’s bulk, so it tends to appeal most to people who already own both, and who know their way around the Yeezy pages of a resale marketplace.
Best for: Your second or third Yeezy, when the 350 feels too familiar.
| Released | November 2019 |
|---|---|
| Original price | $230 |
| Colors | Alien, Covellite, Blue Oat |
7. Adidas Yeezy QNTM: The basketball Yeezy that glows at the heel
The Adidas Yeezy QNTM took the line onto the court. It debuted in Chicago during NBA All-Star Weekend on February 16, 2020, at $250, and reached a wider release in 2021. It is a basketball silhouette with 3M reflective detailing on the heel, so it catches headlights on a night walk. People called it the “Flaora,” short for Flash Orange, one of its colorways.
The drawback is that it looks like what it is: a high, sporty basketball shoe. It reads best with athletic clothes and loses its point with anything smarter. If that is your wardrobe anyway, the QNTM on a resale marketplace is worth a look.
Best for: Sneakerheads who grew up on basketball shoes.
| Released | February 16, 2020 |
|---|---|
| Original price | $250 |
| Colors | Flash Orange, Onyx, Sea Teal |
8. Adidas Yeezy 450: The one that looks like a sculpture
The Adidas Yeezy 450 came out in 2021 at $200, built from just two pieces, with a sock-like Primeknit upper. It looks as much like an object for a shelf as a shoe. The knit keeps it breathable in warm weather.
That shape is also its drawback. The 450 isn’t for everyone, and if you like a sneaker that disappears into an outfit, this one will not. If you like being asked about your shoes, the 450 is on a resale marketplace.
Best for: Wearing on the days you want the shoes to be the conversation.
| Released | 2021 |
|---|---|
| Original price | $200 |
| Colors | Dark Sulphur, Resin, Dark Slate |
9. Adidas Yeezy Calabasas Powerphase: The retro one without Boost
The Adidas Yeezy Calabasas Powerphase arrived on March 28, 2017, at $120, looking nothing like its siblings. It is an ‘80s-inspired trainer with a standard sole and no Boost at all, the kind of shoe you would have found in a gym bag long before anyone said “Yeezy.”
That is also why it divides fans. If you bought into Yeezy for the futuristic shapes, the Powerphase will feel like a detour. If you wanted a quiet, low-key pair with the name on the side, it is a relief, and you’ll find it on the Yeezy pages of a resale marketplace.
Best for: The minimalist who wants a Yeezy nobody will ask about.
| Released | March 28, 2017 |
|---|---|
| Original price | $120 |
| Colors | Core White, Calabasas Grey, Core Black |
10. Adidas Yeezy 500: The dad shoe, done in suede
The Adidas Yeezy 500 started life as the Desert Rat. It first went on pre-order in December 2017, in Super Moon Yellow and only as part of a bundle with shorts and a sweatshirt, and buyers had their pairs in March 2018. On its own, the shoe cost $200. It mixes suede and mesh on a blocky sole, in muted colors that make it one of the easier Yeezys to wear with ordinary clothes.
The suede is the drawback. It takes extra effort to clean, and a pale pair will show every puddle, so check the photos closely on the 500 listings of a resale marketplace. If the chunky, retro-runner look is what draws you here, our styling guide to the Nike Air Max 95 is worth a look for the same mood with a different badge.
Best for: Jeans, a sweatshirt and a weekend with no rain in the forecast.
| Released | March 2018 |
|---|---|
| Original price | $200 |
| Colors | Super Moon Yellow, Blush, Utility Black |
11. Adidas Yeezy 700 V3: The one Kanye teased on Twitter
The Adidas Yeezy 700 V3 spent more than a year as a rumor. Kanye teased it on Twitter in 2018, showed it in an interview with Forbes, and gave a pair to DJ Khaled. The first colorway, Azael, finally went on sale on December 23, 2019, at $200, $100 less than the original 700.
It carries the 700 number, but at $200 it launched for a third less than the Wave Runner. At the time, that made it the cheaper way into the 700 family. The drawback: it is loud, and it stays loud whatever you wear with it. If loud is the point, shop the 700 V3 on a resale marketplace.
Best for: The fan who wants the 700 name with a bolder shape.
| Released | December 23, 2019 |
|---|---|
| Original price | $200 |
| Colors | Azael, Safflower, Kyanite, Alvah |
12. Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 MNVN: The minivan
The Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 MNVN went on sale on February 8, 2020, at $220, and if you spent that winter wondering what MNVN meant, the answer is minivan. It launched $80 below the Wave Runner. Its drawback is the one the whole line shares: it runs small, so size up half a size before you order from the Yeezy listings on a resale marketplace.
Best for: A 700 with a better story behind the name.
| Released | February 8, 2020 |
|---|---|
| Original price | $220 |
| Colors | Triple Black, Blue Tint |
13. Adidas Yeezy 500 High: The 500 for colder weather
The Adidas Yeezy 500 High arrived in December 2019 at $220, a high-top take on the 500. The drawback is that the extra height makes an already chunky shoe heavier-looking, so it suits wide trousers and winter coats better than shorts. Look for it in the Yeezy section of a resale marketplace.
Best for: The 500 fan who wants something for the colder months.
| Released | December 2019 |
|---|---|
| Original price | $220 |
| Colors | Mist Stone, Frosted Blue, Slate |
14. Adidas Yeezy Boost 750: The first Adidas Yeezy
The Adidas Yeezy Boost 750 was the first Yeezy Adidas released, on February 14, 2015, at $350, four months before the Boost 350. Kanye’s first Adidas shoe went on sale on Valentine’s Day, in Light Brown, limited to 9,000 pairs. Its drawback today is simply that a shoe more than a decade old is a collector’s piece before it is something to walk in. Collectors trade it on the Yeezy pages of a resale marketplace.
Best for: The collector who wants where the Adidas story began.
| Released | February 14, 2015 |
|---|---|
| Original price | $350 |
| Colors | Light Brown, Black, Chocolate, Grey Gum |
15. Nike Air Yeezy II “Red October”: The Nike finale
The Nike Air Yeezy II “Red October” came out on February 9, 2014, at $245, two years after the Air Yeezy II itself launched in 2012, and a year before the 750 Boost opened the Adidas era. Nike dropped it without warning on its web store, and it sold out in a little over ten minutes. Look for it on the Yeezy pages of a resale marketplace. Its drawback is that it is a grail more than a shoe, priced and handled like one. If Nike’s basketball heritage is the draw, our ranking of the best Air Jordans of all time covers the pairs you can still wear without a safe to keep them in, and our guide to the rarest Nike shoes covers the ones you can’t.
Best for: Collectors who want the end of the Nike chapter.
| Released | February 9, 2014 |
|---|---|
| Original price | $245 |
| Colors | Red October, Pure Platinum, Solar Red |
16. Nike Air Yeezy I: Where it all started
The Nike Air Yeezy I went on sale on April 4, 2009, in Zen Grey, at $215, fourteen months after Kanye wore a prototype of it on stage at the Grammys. If Nike’s side of sneaker history is what you came for, our comparison of the Nike Dunk vs. Air Jordan 1 sets two of its classics side by side. The drawback is the same as the Red October’s: this is a shoe for a shelf, and at resale prices, a nervous one to wear. Look for it in the Yeezy section of a resale marketplace.
Best for: The collector who wants the first Yeezy of all.
| Released | April 4, 2009 |
|---|---|
| Original price | $215 |
| Colors | Zen Grey, Blink, Net Tan |
Is Yeezy still making shoes?
Yes, but not with Adidas. Ye’s own YEEZY label makes them now, and none of its shoes are on this list. According to Sneaker News, it launched in the US on August 13, 2026, at JD Sports and Finish Line, with new models only: the YS-01 slide at $44, the YS-02 slide at $56, the BL-01 at $108, and the AQ-01 and HL-02 at $66 each.
If you want a 350 V2, a 700 or a Foam Runner, resale is still the only road. The new YEEZY line is a separate label making separate shoes, and it costs less: its priciest model, the $108 BL-01, is under half of what a 350 V2 cost at launch.
Buying guide to Yeezys
How much are Yeezys now?
What a Yeezy costs today depends on the seller, the size and the colorway, and resale prices move daily, so we quote none. What we can give you is where each pair started. At launch, the models on this list ran from $55 for the Slide and $75 for the Foam Runner to $350 for the 750 Boost, with most of the Adidas sneakers between $200 and $300. Before you pay, look at what the same size and colorway sold for recently, and walk away from a pair that is priced far below it.
Where to buy Yeezys
Since Adidas sold its last pairs in late 2024, a Yeezy comes from one of two places: a resale marketplace, or a retailer still holding old stock. Every shop link on this page goes to the Yeezy section of a resale marketplace, where you can compare the models side by side. Resale has become a business of its own, and our report on how resale is transforming luxury covers the bigger picture.
Whichever route you take, buy the seller as much as the shoe. Ask for photos of the box label, the insole and the soles, and be wary of a rare pair at a common price.
Do Yeezy sneakers run small?
Yes. Most Yeezy sneakers run about half a size small. Order half a size up from your usual size, and a full size up if you are between sizes.
Do Yeezy slides run small?
They do, and by more than the sneakers. Buy Yeezy slides at least one full size up, and two sizes up if you are at the large end of your usual size.
Are Yeezys comfortable?
They have a reputation for comfort, especially the models with Boost in the sole. The bulkier shapes, such as the 700 and the 500, take a little getting used to at first. If you want to know exactly which part of a sneaker does the cushioning, our illustrated guide to sneaker anatomy labels every piece, from the upper to the outsole.
How to tie Yeezys?
There are three common ways to lace a pair of Yeezys. The Factory Knot copies the way the shoes come tied from the box, so you can slip them on and off without retying. The Noose Knot is the midpoint between a standard knot and the Factory Knot. And the unlaced look tucks the laces inside the shoe, tight enough to hold your foot but loose enough that nothing dangles over the sides.
The most expensive Yeezy sneakers ever sold
The Yeezy that broke the $1 million barrier was never a pair you could buy. It is the Nike Air Yeezy prototype that Kanye West wore on stage at the 50th Grammy Awards in February 2008, designed with Nike’s Mark Smith. In April 2021, it sold through Sotheby’s to Rares in a private sale for $1.8 million, the first sneaker sale above $1 million and one of the most expensive sneakers ever sold.
The story did not end there. Christie’s planned to sell the pair again and canceled the sale on October 31, 2022. On September 14, 2023, it sold through Goldin for about $180,000, roughly a tenth of its 2021 price. For the other pairs that have crossed the auction block for serious money, see our ranking of the most expensive sneakers ever sold.
The Yeezys we left out
Ye’s new YEEZY models are not on this list, for one plain reason: nobody on our team has seen a pair, and we would rather not rank a shoe we have only read about. If the whole resale hunt sounds like more work than a pair of sneakers should be, our guide to the best men’s sneakers sticks to pairs you can still buy new. Adidas does still sell one shoe we have worn ourselves, the Ultraboost, and our hands-on review covers how it fits.
Here is the full list, in order:
- Adidas Yeezy 350 V2
- Adidas Yeezy 700
- Adidas Yeezy Slide
- Adidas Yeezy Foam Runner
- Adidas Yeezy Boost 350
- Adidas Yeezy Boost 380
- Adidas Yeezy QNTM
- Adidas Yeezy 450
- Adidas Yeezy Calabasas Powerphase
- Adidas Yeezy 500
- Adidas Yeezy 700 V3
- Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 MNVN
- Adidas Yeezy 500 High
- Adidas Yeezy Boost 750
- Nike Air Yeezy II “Red October”
- Nike Air Yeezy I
And if you do buy a Yeezy, whichever model it is, order half a size up. It is the one piece of advice that holds across the whole line, and on the resale market, a pair that does not fit is a pair you get to sell to somebody else.
