**It slumps.** That's the price of softness. You can't have a bag that folds flat in a suitcase and also stands to attention under a desk.

Tumbled calfskin is known for lasting, but it can still scratch. Mansur Gavriel recommends conditioning the leather now and then to keep it hydrated, keeping it away from rough surfaces, and storing it in its dust bag when it's off duty.
