A Classic Flap is a quilted leather bag with a double flap, a CC turn-lock and a chain threaded with leather. Chanel calls today's version the Classic 11.12 Handbag.

PurseBlog calls the Marmont "one of the most discussed, debated, bought, resold, and searched-for designer bags in the world". The [Gucci GG Marmont](https://luxe.digital/loves/gucci-women-handbags/) launched in 2016 under Alessandro Michele, in matelassé leather with a Double G drawn from a 1970s Gucci belt buckle.

It comes in five sizes, from a super mini at 6.5 inches to a large at 13.25. Gucci's current version is the Jetset GG Marmont shoulder bag. It costs $1,750 in the small and $3,100 in the medium.

Louis Vuitton released the New Wave in summer 2018 and has since discontinued it, so you'll find it pre-owned. It's quilted smooth calfskin, lined in microfiber, with a chain strap you can wear crossbody, long on the shoulder or doubled. A padded leather panel sits on the chain, and PurseBlog's reviewer found the bag heavy even empty.
